Gutsy beta is out »

Officially I’m on Holiday in these days and I don’t like writing about new released ’cause everyone already does that but… I couldn’t wait for the gutsy beta just because I’m going to install it on my workstation for everyday usage :)

So… the official announce is not out yet anyway:

I’m already downloading :)

PDT 1.0, cool DIFF feature »

PDT is the new PHP development plugin for Eclipse, officially recognized and supported by Eclipse.org.

PDT 1.0 is out today and I’m upgrading right now, I just found a cool new feature I want to share with you all, look at the screenshot (I was committing a small file), focus on the red zone and look at the way DIFF is shown:

Can you see that within the same line, changed chars are highlighted? Cool hu? Now everyone can really find the differenced within the same line, not just the whole line! I really like that :)

VirtualBox 1.5 is out with some really cool features »

The most interesting new feature to me is built-in seamless windows on Microsoft Windows guest OS, after booting your VM just type CTRL-L, the Windows desktop will disappear and all windows will be popped out in your host OS. It would be wonderful to be able to switch between host and guest applications with the ALT-Tab but when you try to do that you’ll see that all guest applications are seen as a single VirtualBox process, quite obvious. If you want to see guest applications as different host processes you’ll have to connect to the guest OS with a seamless RDP client.

Also the shared clipboard works much better but the changelog is really long thus check it out.

This is really a great piece of software!
