Comments on: recordMyDesktop audio troubles with Hardy

Hi,

I’m using a Dell Inspiron 640m with Ubuntu 9.04, including external mic and I have choppy sound as well. I’ve played around with all the settings for video and sound, done numerous demos and nothing seems to stop it glitching.

Did anybody solve this?

i am getting problem while starting recording. it shows message as “error while parsing the arguments” and when i press ok button it closes itself.

Maybe the video from my comment will help you make recordMyDesktop sound work.
Worked for me :)

Hi,

I had audio problems too. In my case the audio was never synchronized with video.
So the only solution for me was to activate the “on fly” coding of the screencast (the second option of the second tab “performances”). Sorry, but my gnome is in italian, and I don’t know exactly how is the name of the option in english.
Perhaps this option will resolve for you too.

Mic never worked properly on my Ubuntu preloaded XPS 1330, either. But haven’t done much research yet for I don’t really need it.
