I think you are mistaken about using the material in a course or lecture.
UNder the creative commons license:
“3. License Grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, Licensor hereby grants You a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual (for the duration of the applicable copyright) license to exercise the rights in the Work as stated below:
c.to Distribute and Publicly Perform the Work including as incorporated in Collections;”

Delivering the course to students is public performance.

@Captain Tux: actually I’ve to say that I partially agree with George, ’cause part of the meaning of this course is to create a bigger ubuntu audience. That could be achieved helping commercial face2face training companies… anyway i can get your point of view :-)

I have tried to download the file but get nothing. I have very slow rural internet is that the problem?

@George: I think you can create a commercial face2face course based on this one, surely you can’t sell the printed course but that’s not the point. Did you ask the training team for that?

Except of course that it is mostly completely useless as almost no one can use it. I wanted to use it at the University, bzzzt, commercial use sorry. No one can do training with it and get paid for the training time.

Even if I wanted to train people privately in my house and ask them to cough up $25.00 a piece for my time, I couldn’t use this material.

So in theory a great piece of work, in practice…well, you figure it out.
